¿What difference has our mezcal to the tequila? For long time people had been thought that mezcal is of a less quality than tequila, although this are only beliefs since the raw materials and the process of elaboration are all equal. The only reason why is not called tequila is that only a few states of México like: Jalisco, Nayarit, Michoacán, Guanajuato and Tamaulipas have the denomination of origin named by the mexican government. Therefore only they can call it tequila.
